Training Flashbacks.

Looking back all the photos taken during my industrial training in Dorsett Regency Hotel Kuala Lumpur 2 years ago. All the memory flash back and feels like they just happened yesterday. Get to know Albee, Sen, Chee Weng, Catherine, Qin Wan, Mei Yin, Jeen Yee, Grace, Ah Fai, Ah Kit, Roy, Tommy, and of course, Simon. Feel so glad to have known them because they are all good people. Knowing Simon is quite weird because we only start to talk to each other only since the last week of my training in Dorsett, weird right? Before that we don’t talk at all. It is because I don’t need to be trained in kitchen, else I will trained by him. Still remember last time me, Catherine, Albee, and Qin Wan will discuss which who who who is cute and that time we were actually agrees that we think Simon looks cute. :x If we happens to work at the same shift, they we will go shopping or go watch movie together after work. So Fun! ^^

We even created nicknames for our HR Manager at that time. We call her *Fruit  Juice*.  Even though I don’t get paid for my training in Dorsett, but I miss my training time so much because I accompany by this group of good people. Thanks to all of those who I mention on above. =)

Decided to write about this lovely and dearly ex room mate of mine when I go through my industrial training in KL 1 year ago. Her name is 丽娟. My dear li juan came here to study and that’s how I met her in college. I will never forget days we had together during that 3 months. We support each other, share sad and happy stories with each other. When she cry, I will cry together with her, when I cry she will cry together with me. She’s my crying partner and I cry the most whenever I call my mom. Home Sick ma. Remember that time whenever I call my mom, when I hear her voice, my tears fall down immediately. I missed my mom. She will pat pat my back and hug me when I cry. However, she gave me an unforgettable memories which I won’t forget for the rest of my life. That time my mom haven’t got the time to transfer money to my account. I have no money to buy food. That time she was trained in the Mini Bread Shop in Ritz Carlton Hotel. She knows I don’t have money to buy food and she bought bread for me when she’s back from work. Guess that’s the sweetest bread I ever eat in my entire life. It’s not about the bread, but the kind heart of hers to buy me bread. It’s exactly like someone send me charcoal during winter.

Words can’t describe how thankful I feel to have her by my side during the 3 months time. There is a moment where I think I cannot finish my training and wanted to go home cause I’m having home sick seriously that period. She was the one who tells me that she knows I’m tough and I can do this. She encourage me and inspire me in a lot of things. I really miss her so much. She’s back to China le. She’s 福州人. I wanted to earn more money so that I can go find her in China. ^^

I feel thankful to her and to my God. Cause God send her to accompany me during the tough days when in KL. I thank her so much because she gave me supports when I’m having tough time. Still remember I used to wait her to finish work and then we both walk home together. We talk and we laugh together about who who who’s gossip in the hotel.

Dorsett Gang ^^

Rumors

Rumors will become quite scary when u work in a hotel when hotel is a big organization…therefore the rumors in the hotel is also well, quite scary and it can went through everyone’s ear in a very short time. For example, recently I’ve heard a rumors about myself which saying that I liked a chef in the kitchen where I don normally talked to him and for your information, I never spoke to him before…not even once…except tat time when I was in checkers, he asked me to deliver the food to the guest…but tat doesn’t count cause he’s just doing his job…lol…when I heard it, my reaction was like “wat?? I like him? I liked him where I don even know it myself? Its very funny la…lol…but I do admit im abit interested in him lar...just not until like him so serious lar…aiyoyo…=.="

left around 12 days time till my whole training finished totally...and me and albee has been discussing the plan after we finish our training...she asked me to work together with her in penang...and also asked me to live with her by paying only RM100 per month which includes everything...its a very good offer and good kindness of her for doing so le...keke...however, i can only think of it after i submit my training report to ms nurainie...

the very first thing after i finish my training would be...

1. take a short vacation

2. rest and be a lazy bug for some time...lol =X

3. help mommy so tat she can rest more...

me and albee planned to go Sunway Lagoon to have fun with all the water activities and also live a night over there...however lar, its just a planning...everything havent been confirmed yet...perhaps wait till catherine them finish training then only we go in a bunch? would tat be a greater idea hmm? keke...i'll figure it out....BUT, before those happy times, i have to start writting tat report which is required by the hotel...still thinking how to write...hmmm...

God pls bless that me and the ppl around me are happy always and everything goes well starting everyday...=)

New Gang In Dorsett Regency KL

from knowing almost no one in this hotel, untill get to know a group of friends...its been fun...my new gang in the hotel are including...albee, ah sen, chee weng, catherine, mei yin, qin wan, grace, aida, yean, jeen yee, and roy...we all will sms each other to get to lunch together...go out together...we always chit chat during lunch time and had a happy time in the cafeteria although the food is still ok only...i think ill be missing them for sure when my training ends at march...we must plan something to celebrate for the finishing of our trainings...hopefully we will always remember the day we training together...cause its really been so fun...tat day when i was clearing the table and ah sen was patroling at the buffet counter...he smile at me...and a day after tat, while i was still setting the table for lunch, he blek at me...and he looks so cute when he did tat...i just smile back at him...i feel so glad tat i get to know all of my new gang...and thx to roy, hes been fetching me back to my apartment since monday...he's really a good guy who likes to sing and likes Fang Da Tong's songs...=p

chinese new year is coming next week...and am glad tat i'd be able to go back to ipoh for 5 days...ill be back to ipoh on 4th..on 7pm bus...and will be back on 9th 3pm bus...hopefully everything will be fine and i can go back to ipoh asap...hehehe...

off day is boring when u off alone...been working in checkers cafe since last sunday...everything seems to be quite ok...not as scary as i tot it will be...the 3 main thing tat needed to be done everyday in checkers are including:

1. Clearing
2. Wipe the tables
3. Do the table settings

this 3 things sounds to be so easy but when u do it, its not as simple as tat...everything have to follow the standard operation procedures...our checkers de boss is Mr. Liaw...another senior staff tat i get to know at there is ah fai...hes been working in checkers for 3 years time and hes really a very helpful senior staff..some of other permanent staff also taught me alot of things...like dayang, syafiq, farhad and fazwan (morning shift)...

1st Month Of Training In Dorsett Regency KL

finally i have the time to sit down in a wifi available place to update u all with my recent life....its already the 2nd week since my industrial training in Dorsett Regency Kl had started....for the 1st month, i get to train in the housekeeping department...started as a housekeeping coordinator...my executive housekeeper is a 50++ woman with the name of Ms. Lily Ho...

starting....i was lead by my senior, kak yati...shes a very nice person...taught me alot of things on how to handle the guest phones...how to talk to the guest nicely...who to inform when the guest request for anything...for example, if the guest wants iron board, we will have to inform the potter on call...for morning shift, the potter is a guy with the name of ikon...hes a very funny person...everytime when he sees me, he will ask like "dah makan belum?", "pukul berapa you balik?" and etc...everytime ask me different things...despite from delivering watever the guest request, the maids who clean the room will inform the housekeeping if the room they clean need maintenance to repair it...for example, one of the light fuse in the bathroom is not working, they will inform housekeeping and saying "room 2008, bathroom light fuse" and then we as the coordinator will have to inform the maintenance by saying " maintenance calling maintenance coming over, bilik 2008, 2008 bathroom light fuse" by walkie talkie...to ask the potter to deliver the guest's request, we will have to talk like "potter calling potter, tolong hanter 2 hand towel ke bilik 1870, 1870" there is another senior coordinator beside kak yati, shes Nora...a very young and pretty malay girl who is very good in handling the guest and also very popular and welcomed among the housekeeping department and also the maintenance department...another friend i get to know is a hr trainee who brieft us for the first day of training...her name is yean...she looks quite alike with phui ghee...makes me feel so close...another one is the 3 pastry trainee who came in the same day together with us...shes a very nice person and her name is qian yun...also known as albee..

there are total 6 supervisors in the housekeeping department...they are including Zambri, Heraini, Mizan, Rudi, Julia, & Nelly...they take turn to be supervisor everyday...for example, today the supervisor on call is Heraini, Zambri & Mizan...each of them has their own speed dial number...for heraini, ill have to dial *9099...for zambri, i will have to dial *9096...for security department, ill have to dial 053...for reception, ill dial 3...if maids found out the room they are cleaning, the guest has locked their safe lock, we will need to inform the security...

december 22nd is my birthday and yet i have to work...zzz...however, a day earlier ps called me to tell me tat they are going to bring me for dinner on my birthday nite...i was so happy...however, a while later ps call me back tat they cant celebrate with me because 22nd is goh tong...its a day where all the family members have their union dinnner...i understand that and therefore i went concert with choon chuen and li juan together with some of his cousin brother at bukit jalil...when we arrive bukit jalil, the whole place is full of people...really like a "people sea" some of the famous star tat is on stage tat nite was including penny tai, nicholas teo, david tao, stephanie sun and alot more...the concert started at 830...but because li juan is not feeling well, we both went back earlier at 10pm and reach home at 1036pm...and due to my phone's battery finish, i receive calls from hola straight away when i charge my phone and on my phone back...ps asked me to wait him at the hang tuah monorail...i told him im so tired because walking to hang tuah lrt at tat time is very dangeorus...many foreigners walking there...i didnt dare so i told him i was tired and i didnt go yum cha with them...i feel so regret after i hang up his phone...feel so bad ffk them...><

yesterday started is the 2nd week....for this whole week, i will be helping the maids cleaning the room...yesterday i helped one of the maid kak aminah to clean the room from 11 untill 5pm...i helped her with cleaning the bathroom...i was supposed to finish work at 4 but due to the high occupancy, i only get to go home by 5....im very tired after helping the maid to clean the room...when i reach home, bath and straight went to sleep...

guess i was too tired last nite...i wake up late at 7am...my alarm is set to be rang at 630...my stupid hand did it again...i used to off the alarm when it rangs...i straightly rush here and there...and reach my hotel at 746am...quickly changed and went up to 30th floor...and then after my supervisor has did some briefing with the maids, he asked me to go home as in trainees are entitled for public holiday...and today is christmas...and then i went down to 3rd floor...get changed and went to McD to have my breakfast...and then bought a backpack for my notebook and took monorail then stop and imbi and went to starbucks in time square...today counted as a lucky day for me...tats all about my recent life...cheers ppl...will be continue blogging when i got the chance to get online...take care...all the best to u all...merry christmas and happy new year to everyone who is reading my blog...=)
